Intro to Sunnyside

At Sunnyside of Freedom, my mission is to create a thriving community where veterans can come together to build meaningful, lasting connections.

While I’m not a veteran myself, I have deep respect and admiration for those who have served. I understand the unique challenges veterans face when transitioning back to civilian life, and I’m dedicated to creating a space where those challenges can be met with compassion, understanding, and genuine support.

Through this platform, I help bring veterans together for real-life meetups, offering opportunities to connect, share experiences, and create new memories. Sunnyside of Freedom is all about fostering camaraderie and building a supportive network that goes far beyond the meetups.

Understanding the Mission

In addition to organizing in-person events, I also host a weekly live session that serves as a safe space for veterans to gather, talk, and support one another. These live streams offer a chance for veterans to connect in real time, share their stories, and find understanding among a community that truly cares.

For me, this isn’t just a project—it’s a heartfelt commitment to giving back to those who have given so much. Together, we’re building a family where veterans can find the connection, understanding, and support they deserve.

Through various initiatives—from engaging podcasts and live weekly events to organizing veteran meet-ups and raising awareness—I offer a safe, supportive space for veterans to network and share their experiences.

Part of the mission is conducting interviews with veterans to share their powerful and unique stories. I believe that every story matters, and by amplifying these voices, we not only honor their experiences but provide a platform for others to understand the challenges and triumphs of military life. For civilians, these stories offer a valuable perspective, fostering deeper empathy, understanding, and respect for those who have defended our freedom.
